The SN74LS245N is designed as an octal bus transmitter/receiver for 8-line asynchronous 2-way data communication between data buses. Direction input (DR) controls transmission of data from bus A to bus B or bus B to bus A depending upon its logic level. The Enable input (E) can be used to isolate the buses.
SN74LS245N has four features. (1)Hysteresis inputs to improve noise immunity. (2)2-way asynchronous data bus communication. (3)Input diodes limit high-speed termination effects. (4)ESD is larger than 3500 volts. Those are all the main features.
Some guaranteed operating ranges SN74LS245N have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be min 4.75V and typ 5.0V and max 5.25V.
