The SN74LS298N is designed as a quad 2-port register. It is the logical equivalent of a quad 2-input multiplexer followed by a quad 4-bit edge-triggered register.
SN74LS298N has four features. (1)Select from two data sources. (2)Fully edge-triggered operation. (3)Typical power dissipation of 65mW. (4)Input clamp diodes limit high speed termination effects. Those are all the main features.
