Description

The SNJ54ABTE16245 is 16-bit (dual-octal) noninverting 3-state transceivers designed for
synchronous two-way communication between data buses. The control-function implementation
minimizes external timing requirements. These devices can be used as two 8-bit transceivers or one 16-bit transceiver. They allow data transmission from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus,depending on the logic level at the direction-control (DIR) input. The output-enable (OE) input can be used to disable the device so that the buses are effectively isolated. When OE is low, the device is active.

Features of the SNJ54ABTE16245 are:(1)embers of the Texas Instruments Widebus Family; (2) Support the VME64 ETL Specification; (3) Reduced, TTL-Compatible, Input Threshold Range; (4) High-Drive Outputs (IOH = 60 mA,IOL = 90 mA) Support 25- Incident-Wave Switching; (5) VCCBIAS Pin Minimizes Signal Distortion During Live Insertion; (6) Internal Pullup Resistor on OE Keeps Outputs in High-Impedance State During Power Up or Power Down; (7) Distributed VCC and GND Pins Minimize High-Speed Switching Noise; (8) Equivalent 25-? Series Damping Resistor on B Port; (9) Bus Hold on Data Inputs Eliminates the Need for External Pullup/Pulldown Resistors.

The absolute maximum ratings of the SNJ54ABTE16245 can be summarized as:(1)Supply voltage range, VCC and VCCBIAS: 0.5 V to 7 V; (2)Input voltage range, VI(except I/O ports) (see Note 1):0.5 V to 7 V; (3)Voltage range applied to any output in the high state or power-off state, VO:0.5 V to 5.5 V; (4)Current into any output in the low state, IO:128 mA; (5)Input clamp current, IIK (VI < 0):  18 mA; (6)Output clamp current, IOK (VO < 0) : 50 mA; (7)Package thermal impedance, JA (see Note 2): DGG package :70°C/W;DL package :63°C/W.; (8)Storage temperature range, Tstg:65°C to 150°C.
