SP691ACP

The SP691ACP is designed as a microprocessor (uP) supervisory circuit that integrates a myriad of components involved in discrete solutions to monitor power-supply and battery-control functions in uP and digital systems.

It has thirteen features. (1)Precision 4.65V/4.4V voltage monitoring. (2)200ms or adjustable reset time. (3)100ms, 1.6s or adjustable watchdog time. (4)60uA maximum operating supply current. (5)2.0uA maximum battery backup current. (6)0.1uA maximum battery standby current. (7)Power switching 250mA output in Vcc mode 0.6ohms and 25mA output in battery mode 5ohms. (8)On-board gating of chip-enable signals memory write-cycle completion 6ns CE gate propragation delay. (9)Voltage monitor for power-fail or low battery. (10)Backup-battery monitor. (11)/RESET valid to Vcc=1V. (12)1% accuracy guaranteed. (13)Pin compatible upgrade to MAX691A. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its terminal voltages with respect to GND would be from -0.3V to +6V for Vcc and would be from -0.3V to 6V for Vbatt and would be from -0.3V to Vcc+0.3V for all other inputs. (2)Its input current would be 1.0A for Vcc peak and 250mA for Vcc continuous and 250mA for Vbatt peak and 25mA for Vbatt continuous and 100mA for GND, BATT ON and would be 25mA for all other inputs. (3)Its enhanced ESD specifications is +/-4kV human body model. (4)Its power dissipation would be 1150mW for 16-pin PDIP and 1090mW for 16-pin narrow SOIC and 900mW for 16-pin wide SOIC. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (6)Its lead temperature soldering 10 seconds would be 300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its operating voltage range would be min 0V and max 5.5V. (2)Its output voltage in normal operating mode would be min Vcc-0.05V and typ Vcc-0.015V at Vcc=4.5V and Iout=25mA. (3)Its Vcc-to-Vout on-resistance would be typ 0.6ohms and max 1.2ohms at Vcc=4.5V.
