Description

The SS14 is designed as surface mount schottky barrier rectifier with current of 1.0A.

SS14 has ten features. (1) Plastic package has underwriters laboratory flammability classification 94V-O. (2) For surface mounted applications. (3) Low profile package. (4) Built-in strain relief. (5) Metal to silicon rectifier majority carrier conduction. (6) Low power loss, high efficiency. (7) High current capability, low VF. (8) High surge capacity. (9) For use in low voltage high frequency inverters, free wheeling, and polarity protection applications. (10) High temperature soldering: 260°C 10 seconds at terminals. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings and electrical characteristics of SS14 (Rating 25°C ambient temperature uniess otherwies specified. Resistive or inductive load) have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum recurrent peak reverse voltage would be 50V. (2) Its maximum RMS voltage would be max 35V. (3) Its maximum DC blocking voltage would be max 50V. (4) Its maximum average forward rectified current would be 1.0A. (5) Its peak forward surge current, 8.3ms single half sine-wave superimposed on rated load (JEDEC method) would be 30A. (6) Its maximum instantaneous forward voltage at 3.0A would be 0.70V. (7) Its maximum DC reverse current at rated DC blocking voltage would be 0.5mA at 25°C and would be 20mA at 100°C. (8) Its maximum thermal resistance would be 28°C/W for JL and would be 88°C/W for JA. (9) Its operating junction temperature range would be from -50°C to +125°C.
