The ST2042BDR is designed as current limited power distribution switches for application where heavy capacitive loads and short circuits are likely to be encountered. This device incorporate 80mW N-channel MOSFET high-side power switches for power-distribution systems that require multiple powers switches in a single package. Each switch is controlled by an independent logic enable input.
ST2042BDR has ten features. (1) 80mW high-side MOSFET switch. (2) 500mA continuous current per channel. (3) Independent thermal and short circuit protection with overcurrent logic output. (4) Operating range from 2.7V to 5.5V. (5) CMOS- and TTL-compatible enable inputs. (6) 2.5ms typical rise time. (7) Undervoltage lockout. (8) 10mA maximum standby supply current. (9) Ambient temperature range, 0°C to 85°C. (10) RSD protection. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ST2042BDR have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its input voltage range would be from -0.3V to 6V. (2) Its output voltage range would be from -0.3V to Vi+0.3V. (3) Its input voltage range would be from -0.3V to 6V. (4) Its continuous output current would be internally limited. (5) Its electrostatic discharge would be 2kV. (6) Its operating junction temperature would be from -40°C to 125°C.
