ST485ERXDR

The ST485ERXDR is one member of the ST485ER family which is designed as the ±15 KV ESD protected, low power RS-485 / RS-422 transceiver that draws 300mA (typ.) of supply current when unloaded or fully loaded with disabled drivers. This device operates from a single 5V supply and is designed for bi-directional data communications on multipoint bus transmission line (half-duplex applciations).

Features of the ST485ERXDR are:(1)low quiescent current: 300 mA; (2)designed for RS-485 interface applications; (3)-7 V to 12 V common mode input voltage range; (4)driver maintains high impedance in 3-state or with the power off; (5)70 mV typical input hysteresis; (6)30 ns propagation delays, 5 ns skew; (7)operate from a single 5v supply; (8)current limiting and thermal shutdown for driver overload protection; (9)ESD protection: ±15KV (H.B.M.) and ±8KV (IEC-1000-4-2 contact discharge); (10)allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus.
