The STK311-120 is designed as RDS demodulator hybrid IC for the ratio data system (RDS), or multiplexed FM broad-casting of various kinds of data, introduced within the european broadcasing union (EBU). It demodulates the multiplexed data modulating signal to recover the RDS signal. It typical applications include car stereos, home stereos.
STK311-120 has four features. (1) Smaller width package dimension (35mm max) than the STK311-110. (2) 57kHz BPF built-in for adjustment free operation. (3) Few external components required for a complete RDS data demodulation system. (4) ARI-SK / DK decoder built-in. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of STK311-120 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its maximum supply voltage would be 6.3V. (2) Its operating temperature range would be from -30°C to +85°C. (3) Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to +100°C. (4) Its resommended supply voltage would be 5V. (5) Its recommended operating supply voltage range would be from 4.7V to 5.5V.
