The STPS15LB-TR is designed as low DROP power schottky rectifier. Single schottky rectifier suited to switched mode power supplies and high frequency DC to DC converters. This device is especially intended for use as a rectifier at the secondary of 3.3V SMPS units.
STPS15LB-TR has four features. (1) Very low forward voltage drop for less power dissipation and reduced heatsink. (2) Optimized conduction / reverse losses trade-off which means the highest efficiency in the applications. (3) High power surface mount miniature package. (4) Avalanche capability specified. That are all the main features.
Also some STPS15LB-TR absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 25V. (2) Its RMS forward current would be 7A. (3) Its average forward current would be 5A. (4) Its surge non repetitive forward current would be 75A. (5) Its repetitive peak reverse current would be 1A.
