The TCA530 is designed as an adjustable 30V integrated circuit voltage stabilizer for use with variable capacitance diodes.

TCA530 has four features. (1)Continuous short-circuit protected output. (2)AFC control voltage input. (3)Internal switch-on delay (can be adjusted externally). (4)Pre-stabilization and crystal temperature control (temperature sensor and heater). Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TCA530 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its voltage pin 1 (heater voltage) would be from 0 to 20V. (2)Its voltage pin 3 (muting switch supply) would be max 15V. (3)Its voltage pins 10 and 11 (a.f.c. input control voltage) would be max 6V. (4)Its currents pin 3 would be max 5mA. (5)Its currents pin 4 would be max 500uA. (6)Its currents pin 5 would be max 25mA. (7)Its currents pin 6 would be max 30mA. (8)Its currents pin 8 would be max 500uA. (9)Its currents pin 10 would be max 500uA. (10)Its currents pin 11 would be max 500uA. (11)Its currents pin 14 would be max 15mA. (12)Its total power dissipation (excluding heater power) at Tamb=60°C would be max 500mW. (13)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. (14)Its operating ambient temperature range would be from -20°C to 80°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of TCA530  are concluded as follow. (1)Its input (supply) voltage range would be from 50 to 68V. (2)Its current consumption would be typ 8.1mA and would be from 5.2mA to 11.0mA. (3)Its regulator voltage drop within operating range of the pre-stabilizer would be typ 2.7V and would be from 2V to 3.5V. (4)Its output current (start of current limiting) would be min 8mA. (5)Its internal reference voltage would be typ 20V and would be from 18.2V to 21.8V. And so on.
