The UCN5818AF is designed as one kind of BiMOS II 32-bit serial-input, latched source drivers with active-DMOS pull-downs. Designed primarily for use with vacuum-fluorescent displays, it combines CMOS shift registers, data latches, and control circuitry, with bipolar highspeed sourcing outputs and DMOS active pull-down circuitry.

UCN5818AF has eight features. (1)60 source outputs. (2)High speed source drivers. (3)To 3.3MHz data input rate. (4)Low-output saturation voltages. (5)Active DMOS pull-downs. (6)Low power CMOS logic and latches. (7)Reduced supply current requirements. (8)Improved replacement for SN75518N/FN. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of UCN5818AF have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its logic supply voltage would be 15V. (2)Its driver supply voltage would be 60V. (3)Its continuous output current would be -40mA to +15mA. (4)Its input voltage range would be from -0.3V to Vdd+0.3V. (5)Its package power dissipation would be 3.5W. (6)Its operating temperature range would be from -20°C to +85°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C.
