V6366

V6366 is a kind of PCDC (panel display and CRT display controller). It has two functions: (1) the display control of a high-capacity flat-panel display (hereafter refered to as a "Panel"); (2) the display control of a raster-scan type CRT.

There are some features of V6366 as follows. First, all functions of MC6845 are built in (excluding interlacing and video mode and the skew function). Secondly, in addition to a CRT or LCD, a EL and Plasma Display can also be connected. Besides, a one-screen panel or two-screen can be used. Furthermore, selection of 1-, 2-, 4-, or 8-bit parallel transmission of data to the panel. The fifth is built-in interface for the light pen. The sixth is that a clock lookup table can even be used in an IBM color monitor. The seventh is that a standby function is provided to conserve power dissipation. The eighth is simultaneous display capability with an IBM color monitor and a one-screen LCD of 640*200. The last one is CMOS, 5 V power supply, 100-pin QFP or 84-pin PLCC.

The following is the absolute maximum ratings of V6366. The VDD (supply voltage) is from -0.3 to +7.0 V. The VI (input voltage) is from -0.3 to VDD+0.3 V. The VO (output voltage) is from -0.3 to VDD+0.3 V. The TOP (operating temperature) is from 0 to +70.  The TSTG (storage temperature) is from -50 to +125. Then is about the recommended conditions. The supply voltage is +5 V±5% (based on VSS=0 V). The operating temperature is from 0 to +70.
