VI-223-CW

The VI-223-CW is designed as one member of the VI-200 series which are DC-DC converters with power 50 to 200 watts. The VI-200 family, with over 8 million shipped, is Vicor's first generation of "zero-current-switching" component-level DC-DC converters.

It has twelve features. (1)Up to 50W/cubic inch. (2)UL, CSA, TÜV, VDE, BABT, AUSTEL. (3)Up to 90% efficiency. (4)Size: 4.6"x2.4"x0.5" (116,8 x 61,0 x 12,7). (5)Remote sense and current limit. (6)OVP, thermal shutdown. (7)Logic disable. (8)Wide range output adjust. (9)Compatible power booster modules. (10)ZCS power architecture. (11)Low noise FM control. (12)CE marked. Those are all the main features.

Some output characteristics have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its setpoint accuracy would be typ 0.5% and max 1%. (2)Its load/line regulation would be typ 0.05% and max 0.2% for LL to HL and 10% to full load and would be typ 0.2% and max 0.5% at LL to HL, no load to 10%. (3)Its output temperature drift would be typ 0.01%/°C and would be max 0.02%/°C. (4)Its long term drift would be typ 0.02%/1K hours. (5)Its output ripple would be typ 60mV and max 100mV at 2V, 3.3V and would be typ 2% and max 3% at 5V and would be typ 0.75% and max 1.5% at 10-48V. (6)Its trim range would be min 50% and max 110%. (7)Its total remote sense compensation would be min 0.5V. (8)Its OVP set point would be min 115% and typ 125% and max 135%. (9)Its current limit would be min 105% and max 125%. (10)Its short circuit current would be min 20% and max 130%. And so on.

Also some control pin characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its gate out impedance would be typ 50ohms. (2)Its gate in impedance would be typ 1000ohms. (3)Its gate in open circuit voltage would be typ 6V. (4)Its gate in low threshold would be min 0.65V. (5)Its gate in low current would be max 6mA.
