The XRT83L314 is a fully integrated 14-channel longhaul nd short-haul line interface unit (LIU) that perates from a single 3.3V power supply. Using nternal termination, the LIU provides one bill of aterials to operate in T1, E1, or J1 mode ndependently on a per channel basis with minimum xternal components. The LIU features are rogrammed through a standard microprocessor nterface. EXAR's LIU has patented high impedance ircuits that allow the transmitter outputs and receiver nputs to be high impedance when experiencing a ower failure or when the LIU is powered off. Key esign features within the LIU optimize 1:1 or 1+1 edundancy and non-intrusive monitoring applications o ensure reliability without using relays.
The XRT83L314 on-chip clock synthesizer generates T1/E1/J1 lock rates from a selectable external clock frequency nd has five output clock references that can be used or external timing (8kHz, 1.544Mhz, 2.048Mhz, xT1/J1, nxE1).
Additional features of XRT83L314 include RLOS, a 16-bit LCV ounter for each channel, AIS, QRSS generation/ etection, Network Loop Code generation/detection, AOS, DMO, and diagnostic loopback modes.
