AIC1652CS General Description
The AIC1652CS is a kind of high performance inverting DC/DC converter. It is intended to drive an external power switch to generate programmable negative voltages. It is available in plastic SO package. The typical applications include negative voltage supply and negative LCD contrast bias for notebook & palmtop computers, pen-based data system, portable data collection terminals and personal digital assistants.
There is some information about the features as follows: (1) 2.4 to 7V input votage operation; (2) adjustabe output votage up to -40 V; (3) low quiescent current at 80mA; (4) pulse frequency moduation maintains high efficiency (87%); (5) 70KHz to 160KHz switching frequency; (6) power-saving shutdown mode (0.7mA typical); (7) high efficiency with low cost external PNP bipoar transistor.
What comes next is about the absolute maximum ratings: (1)supply voltage: 7 V; (2)SHDN voltage: 7 V; (3)operation temperature range: 0 to 70; (4)storage temperature range: -65 to 150.
