TDA3629 General Description
The Light position controller (Leucht Weiten Steller, LWS) is a monolithic integrated circuit intended to be used in passenger cars. This device adapts the elevation of the light beam of the head light of the car to a state defined by the car driver using a potentiometer on the dashboard.

TDA3629T General Description
The TDA3629T is deisgned as the light position controller (leucht weiten steller, LWS). It is produced by the Philips Semiconductors. Features of the TDA3629T are:(1)hysteresis level set externally;(2)thermally protected;(3)broken wire and short-circuit indication on SET input;(4)low supply current;(5)low noise sensitivity due to hysteresis;(6)brake function by short-circuiting the motor;(7)low positional error.
The characteristics of this device can be summarized as:(1)under voltage threshold:6 to 8 V;(2)over voltage threshold (Tamb=25 °C):18 to 22 V;(3)over voltage threshold (Tamb=-40 to +105 °C):17.5 to 22.8 V;(4)supply current, steady state:6 mA;(5)operating voltage:1.5 to 0.95Vp V;(6)input current:-250 to +250 mA;(7)wire short-circuited to ground threshold:1 V;(8)wire short-circuited to battery threshold:Vp V;(9)broken ground set pull-up:160 mV.
