The Internet of things is defined as a network which connects all the objects together and is based on the Internet. Different from the Internet, it is another way that integrate many kinds of information sensing devices including RFID, infrared sensors and GPS, which enables information communication and corresponding. As a result, a network which has functions of intelligent recognition, locating, tracing and managing.
In recent years, with the increasing development of network bandwidth, sensing devices and recognition based on computers, the advent of the Internet of things has drawn great attention from common people and has become one of the most dynamic elements in areas of Internet.
Technically, the Internet is the most powerful factor. As technologies represented by 3G, 4G and sensors developed, an all-round cover and instant transmission will be available. Besides, cloud computing will give supports to information storage and calculation. From application aspects, it will implement function of ambient intelligence and interactive collaboration. Furthermore, it will know about the different habits and characters of various users in order to offer customised services.
However, there are still some challenges for the Internet of things. Firstly, information in smart cards may be stolen by hidden reader or lost during signal transmission. Thus, personal privacy will become public, which will cause great loss to both consumers and companies. Secondly, it is a difficulty for various departments cooperate. Besides, data security is another issue to be solved in order to ensure a much safer data environment. Last, for the whole system is complex, many functions must be integrated by a certain intelligent system. Related chip is:UC2840 .
