15KP CELLS

      The 15KP cell series is specifically designed for space limited applications and high power. The 15KP cell series construction provides three high power T.V.S. die connected in series via heat sinking electrodes.It is also designed to protect sensitive electronics which operate within an environment of short duration,lightning induced or high current pulses. The 15KP cell series can also be soldered to a substrate via one electrode then connection to the other electrode can then be made by soldering a suitable jumper. The 15KP cell series can be used in series/parallel configuration in order to provide a very high power capability that is a far superior solution than using metal oxide varistors.The ultimate protection for sensitive electronics with the help of its low clamping voltage, high speed response and infinite life (if the maximum rating is not exceeded).
      The 15KP cell series also has some important features about it.The first one is that it would have the 144,000 watts peak pulse power based on 8/20S (applies to a single device).The second one is that the devices can be arranged in series/parallel to increase surge handling capability.
      Some absolute maximum ratings of the 15KP cell serieshave been concluded intoseveral points which is at 25°C case temperature(unless otherwise noted).The first one is about its peak pulse power 8-20sec. pulse of the 15KP cell series that it would be 144000W.The second one is about its steady state power dissipation which would be 6.5W.The third one is about its maximum instantaneous forward voltage @100amps which would be 10.5 V.The fourth one is its junction temperature which would be from -55 to 150 °C.The last one is about its storage temperature which would also be from -55 to 150 °C.
      The notes about the 15KP cell series.The first one is mounted on copper pad area 40mm square.The second one is using 300 microsecond square pulse; applies to unidirectional only, and a single device only.For devices used in series, this value should be multiplied by the number of devices.
