15KP Series

The 15KP series,which would be from 15KP17A to 15KP280CA,are designed as 15KW transient voltage suppressor.
This 15KP series have seven features.The first one is about its stand-off voltage which would be from 17 volts to 280 volts.The second one is that the 15KP series would have a glass passivated junction.The third one is about its 15KW peak pulse power capability on 10/1000s waveform repetition rate(duty cycle) which would be 0.05%.The fourth one is that the 15KP series would have a fast response time which would be typically less than 1.0ps from 0v to VBR bidirectional less than 10ns.The fifth one is that it would have a low incremental surge resistance and of course have a excellent clamping capability.The sixth one is about its high temperature soldering guaranteed which would be 265°C per 10 seconds and 0.375" (9.5mm) lead length at 5lbs. (2.3kg tension).The last feature about the 15KP series would be RoHS compliant.That are all the features.
Some maximum ratings of the 15KP series have been concluded into several points when Tambient would be equal to 25ºC unless noted otherwise.The first one is about its VWM which means the stand-Off voltage would be from 17 to 280 V.The second one is about its PPPM which means the peak pulse power dissipation on 10/1000s waveform would be have a minimum of 15 KW.The third one is about its IFSM which means the peak forward surge current 8.3ms single half sinewave(uni-directional only) would be 400 A.The last one is about the TJ and TSTG of the 15KP series which means operating junction and storage temperature range which would be -55 to 175 °C.
Notes should about the 15KP series have attention.The first one is that there would be non-repetitive current pulse, and derated above TA = 25°C.The second one is thst it is measured on 8.3ms single half sine-wave or equivalent square wave, duty cycle = 4 pulses.That all the notes about the maximum ratings.
