1N3899

The 1N3899 is designed as one member of the 1N3899 through 1N3903 series which are fast recovery rectifier. Its working peak reverse voltage is 50V and its repetitive peak reverse voltage would be also be 50V.

This series have four features. (1)They are fast recovery rectifier. (2)150°C junction temperature. (3)20A current rating. (4)Vrrm would be 50V to 400V.

Some electrical characteristics (unless otherwise specified) have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its average forward current would be 20 amps with condition of Tc=100°C, square wave, Rjc = 1.8°C/W. (2)Its maximum surge current would be 225 amps with condition of 8.3ms, half sine Tc=100°C. (3)Its maximum peak forward voltage would be 1.40 volts with condition of Ifm=63A and Tj=25°C. (4)Its max peak reverse current would be 6mA with condition of Vrrm, Tj=150°C. (5)Its max peak reverse current would be 50uA with condition of Vrrm, Tj=25°C. (6)Its max reverse recovery time would be 200ns with condition of If=1A dc, Vr=30V, di/dt = 25A/us. (7)Its max junction capacitance would be 150pF with condition of Vr=10V, f=1MHz and Tj=25°C.

Also some thermal and mechanical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 175°C. (2)Its operating junction temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (3)Its max thermal resistance would be 1.8°C/W junction to case. (4)Its mounting torque would be 25 to 30 inch pounds.
