The A250 is designed as one kind of high performance analog/digital gate array.The gate array can perform analog and/or digital functions.The gate array is silicon gate construction using a double-poly p-well process.The minimum gate channel length is 4 microns.Customization is done by single layer metal.

Features of the A250 can be summarized as:(1)ultra low noise;(2)fast rise time(4 ns at 0 pf);(3)internal gate pro delay-less than 5 ns;(4)output sink current per transistor 6 mA;(5)op amps with gain over 70 dB;(6)matched resistors and capacitors on chip;(7)300 equivalent gates in digital section;(8)single or dual supply operation.It can be used in (1)voltage reference;(2)phase locked loops,including the loop filter;(3)peak detectors and sample and hold circuits;(4)A to D and D to A converter with up to 8 bits resolution;(5)A set of filters.For example the chip can contain two "MF10" type filters plus other functions.
