ADM1275

The ADM1275 is designed as one kind of hot-swap controller and digital power monitor device that can be used in wide range of applications such as (1)Power monitoring and control/power budgeting; (2)Central office equipment; (3)Telecommunication and data communication equipment; (4)PCs/servers. And this device limits the current through the sense resistor by controlling the gate voltage of an external N-channel FET in the power path, via the GATE pin.

Features of the ADM1275 are:(1)Controls supply voltages from 2 V to 20 V; (2)370 ns response time to short circuit; (3)Resistor-programmable 5 mV to 25 mV current limit; (4)±1% accurate, 12-bit ADC for current, VIN/VOUT readback; (5)Charge-pumped gate drive for multiple external N-channel FETs; (6)High gate drive voltage to ensure lowest RDSON; (7)Foldback for tighter FET SOA protection; (8)Automatic retry or latch-off on current fault; (9)Programmable current limit timer for SOA; (10)Programmable, multifunction GPOs; (11)Power-good status output; (12)Analog UV and OV protection; (13)ENABLE pin (ADM1275-3 only); (14)Peak detect registers for current and voltage; (15)PMBus fast mode compliant interface; (16)16-lead QSOP and 20-lead QSOP and LFCSP.
