ADP8870

The ADP8870 is designed as one kind of charge-pump, parallel backlight driver device that can be used in wide range of applications such as (1)Mobile display backlighting; (2)Mobile phone keypad backlighting; (3)RGB LED lighting; (4)LED indication; (5)General backlighting of small format displays. And this device allows up to six LEDs to be independently driven up to 30 mA (maximum).

Features of the ADP8870 are:(1)Dedicated reset pin and built-in power-on reset (POR); (2)Short-circuit, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection; (3)Internal soft start to limit inrush currents; (4)Input-to-output isolation during faults or shutdown; (5)Operation down to VIN = 2.5 V with undervoltage lockout (UVLO) at VIN = 2.0 V; (6)Standby mode for <1 A current consumption; (7)Programmable maximum current limit (128 levels); (8)Separate and independent controls for backlight LEDs; (9)Automated blinking and funlight timing for each LED driver.
