BCM7620

Description

The BCM7620 is a complete universal optical disc controller on one chip. BCM7620 supports read and write functions for high-capacity Blu-ray™ blue laser formats; DVD and DVD-RAM red laser formats; and CD formats. The BCM7620 fully supports copy protection and security standards including CSS, AACS, CPRM, VCPS, CPPM, and Blu-ray BD ROM Mark. The BCM7620 features a high-performance PRML read channel and an integrated analog front end providing a high level of programmability and flexibility to support a wide range of optical pickups and electromechanical designs.

The BCM7620 is supported by a complete reference design package and software stack that includes support for all common forms of optical media including BD-ROM, BD-R/RE, DVD-+RRW, DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW and CDROM.
