Conexant 's CX86710 SFX336/314 High Performance Fax Modem family with SmartDAA® technology offers ITU-T V.34 half-duplex mode operation, as well as synchronous Group 3 facsimile send and receive speeds up to 33,600 bps. The CX86710 is a second generation Smart Fax Modem which offers improved performance, additional features, and optimized cost. The SFX336/314 device set consists of two devices:

  • CX86710 Host Side Device (HSD) with integrated modem DSP and SmartDAA System Side Device (SSD) in a 64-pin TQFP package
  • CX20493 SmartDAA 3 Line Side Device (LSD) in a 28-pin QFN package

 An optional CX20452 Codec in a 24-pin LQFP is available for external handset support.
