The D71055C is designed as a low-power CMOS programmable parallel interface unit for use in microcomputer systems. Typically, the unit's three I/O ports interface peripheral devices to the system bus.

It has eight features. (1)Three 8-bit I/O ports. (2)Three programmable operation modes. (3)Bit manipulation command. (4)Microcomputer compatible. (5)CMOS technology. (6)Single +5V +/-10% power supply. (7)Industrial temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (8)Its 8MHz and 10MHz. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its power supply voltage would be from -0.5V to 7.0V. (2)Its input voltage would be from -0.5V to Vdd+0.3V. (3)Its output voltage would be from -0.5V to Vdd+0.3V. (4)Its power dissipation would be 500mW. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its input voltage high would be min 2.2V and max Vdd+0.3V. (2)Its input voltage low would be min -0.5V and max 0.8V. (3)Its output voltage high would be min 0.7Vdd. (4)its output voltage low would be max 0.4V. (5)Its input leakage current high would be max 10uA. (6)Its input leakage current low would be max -10uA. (7)Its output leakage current high would be max 10uA. (8)its output leakage current low would be max -10uA. (9)Its supply current dynamic would be max 10mA.
