DG506ACJ

The DG506ACJ is designed as one kind of monolithic CMOS analog multiplexers. It is a single 16 channel (1 of 16) multiplexer. It features break-before-make switching. Maxim guarantees that this multiplexer will not latch-up if the power supplies are turned off with the input signals are not violated.

It has seven features. (1)Improved 2nd source. (2)Pin compatible with harris, siliconix, intersil. (3)Operable with +/-4.5V to +/-18V supplies. (4)Symmetrial, Bi-directional operation. (5)Logic and enable inputs, TTL and CMOS compatible. (6)Latch-up proof construction. (7)Monolithic, low-power CMOS design. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Voltage referenced to V- would be 44V for V+ and would be 25V for GND. (2)Its digital inputs would be from -2V to V+ +2V. (3)Its current, any terminal except S or D would be 30mA. (4)Continuous current S or D would be 20mA. (5)Peak current S or D (pulsed at 1ms 10% duty cycle max) would be 40mA. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 125°C. (7)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 70°C. (8)Its power dissipation would be 1200mW. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its analog signal range would be min -15V and max 15V. (2)Its drain to source on resistance would be typ 270ohms and max 450ohms. (3)Its greatest change in drain-source ON resistance between channels would be typ 6%. (4)Its address input current, input voltage high would be typ 0.006uA and max 10uA at Va=15V.
