HSMS-C650

The HSMS-C650 is designed as high efficiency red single and bicolor LEDs in an industry standard package for ease of handling and use. Five different LED colors are available in two compact, low profile, single color packages. Typical applications include push-botton backlighting, LCD backlighting, symbol backlighting and front panel indicator. The small size, low 1.1mm profile and wide viewing angle make this LED excellent for backlighting applications and front panel illumination.

Some HSMS-C650 absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its DC forward current would be 25mA. (2)Its power dissipation would be 65mW. (3)Its reverse voltage Ir=100uA would be 5V. (4)Its LED junction temperature would be 95°C. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from -25°C to 80°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -30°C to 85°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of HSMS-C650 are concluded as follow. (1)Its luminous intensity at If=20mA would be min 1.6mcd and typ 5.0mcd. (2)Its peak wavelength would be typ 639nm. (3)Its color dominant wavelength would be typ 626nm. (4)Its viewing angle would be typ 155°. (5)Its forward voltage at If=20mA would be typ 1.9V and max 2.6V. (6)Its reverse breakdown at Ir=100uA would be min 5V. (7)Its capacitance would be typ 4.0pF at Vf=0, f=1MHz. (8)Its thermal resistance would be 400°C/W. And so on.
