KA8502A General Description


The KA8502A is a telephone speech network integrated circuit which includes transmit amp,receive amp,DTMF amp,voltage regulator, line regulator,voltage comparator.It handles the voice signal performing the 2/4 wire interface and changing the gain on both sending and receiving amplifiers to compensate for line attenuation by sensing the line length through the line current.

Features of the KA8502A are:(1)adjust sending and receiving attenuation length; (2)mute function; (3)regulated voltage for dialer; (4)linear interface for DTMF; (5)suitable for ceramic tranducers.

The absolute maximum ratings of the KA8502A can be summarized as:(1): line voltage(VL) is 22 V; (2): forward line current(ILF) is 150 mA; (3): reverse line current(ILR) is -150 mA; (4): power dissipation(PD, Ta is 70) is 1 W; (5): operating temperature(Topr) is -45 to +70; (6): storage temperature(Tstg) is -65 to +125.
