The LM1830N is a monolithic bipolar integrated circuit. It is ideal for detecting the presence, absence, or level of water, or other polar liquids. It is designed for use in beverage dispensers, radiators, water softeners, washing machines, irrigation, reservoirs sump pumps, boilers and aquaria.

There are some features of LM1830N as follows. First is low external parts count. The second is wide supply operating range. Besides, one side of probe input can be grounded. Then is AC coupling to probe to prevent plating. The fourth is internally regulated supply. The last one is AC or DC output.

The following is the absolute maximum ratings of LM1830N. The supply voltage is 28 V. The power dissipation is 1400 mW. The output sink current is 20 mA. The operating temperature range is from -40 to 85. The storage temperature range from -40 to 150. The lead temp. (soldering, 10 seconds) is 260.
