LM2597M-5.0

The LM2597M-5.0 is one member of the LM2597 family which is designed as the SIMPLE SWITCHER® power converter 150 kHz 0.5A step-down voltage regulator. This device can be used in (1)simple high-efficiency step-down (buck) regulator; (2)efficient pre-regulator for linear regulators; (3)on-card switching regulators; (4)positive to negative convertor. And also it operates at a switching frequency of 150 kHz thus allowing smaller sized filter components than what would be needed with lower frequency switching regulators.
