MAX3100CEE+T

The MAX3100CEE+T is a kind of universal asynchronous receiver transmitter(UART) which is the first UART specifically optimized for small microcontroller-based systems. Using an SPI™/Microwire™ interface for communication with the host microcontroller (C), the MAX3100 comes in a compact 16-pin QSOP.

Features of the MAX3100CEE+T are:(1) small TQFN and QSOP packages available; (2) full-featured UART; (3) SPI/microwire-compatible C interface; (4) lowest power; (5) +2.7V to +5.5V supply voltage in operating mode; (6) schmitt-trigger inputs for opto-couplers; (7) TX and RTS outputs sink 25mA for opto-couplers.

The absolute maximum ratings of the MAX3100CEE+T can be summarized as:(1): VCC to GND is +6V; (2): input voltage to GND(CS, SHDN, X1, CTS, RX, DIN, SCLK) is -0.3V to (VCC + 0.3V); (3): output voltage to GND:(DOUT, RTS, TX, X2) is -0.3V to (VCC + 0.3V); IRQ is -0.3V to 6V; (4): TX, RTS output current  is 100mA; (5): X2, DOUT, IRQ short-circuit duration(to VCC or GND)  is indefinite; (6): storage temperature range  is  -65°C to +160°C; (7): lead temperature (soldering, 10s) is +300°C.
