MAX7452EVKIT General Description


The MAX7452EVKIT is one member of the MAX7452 family which is designed as the evaluation kit (EV kit), and also this device is a low-cost, high-performan-ce, complete front-end video-signal conditioner with automatic gain control (AGC) and a useradjustable back-porch clamp. The device includes an out-of-band noise filter, back-porch clamp, loss-of-sync (LOS) detector, ±6dB of AGC, and an output buffer capable of driving either a 150 video load or a highimpedance load.

Features of the MAX7452EVKIT are:(1)single +5V supply operation; (2)adjustable back-porch clamp; (3)output buffer drives standard video load; (4)jumper-selectable output buffer gain of 0dB or +6dB; (5)input fault detection with LOS output; (6)AGC (+/-6dB range); (7)jumper-selectable AGC enable/disable; (8)standard 75 input/output termination; (9)jumper-selectable input/output termination; (10)surface-mount components; (11)fully assembled and tested.

The MAX7452EVKIT provides complete front-end video-signal conditioning and is designed to improve the quality of standard-definition video signals, and also provides out-of-band noise filtering, LOS detection, user-adjustable back-porch clamp, AGC, and an output buffer with selectable gains of 0dB or +6dB.
