MC14412 General Description


The MC14412 contains a complete FSK(frequency-shift keying)modulator and demodulator compatible with both foreign(C.C.I.T.T standard) and U.S.A low speed communication networks.It has many unique features: the first one is on-chip crystal oscillator with external crystal. The second one is echo suppressor diable tone generator. The third one is originate and answer modes. The forth one is simplex,half-duplex, and full-duplex operation.The fifth one is on-chip sine wave generator,etc.

There are some absolute maximum ratings about it. DC supply voltage(VDD)is -0.5 V to 15 V or -0.5 v to 6.0 V. DC current drain per pin is 10 mA . DC current drain (pin7,8) is 35 mA . Storage temperature is -65 to +150.Otherwise, there are also some electrical charactersitics about it.Minimum clock pulse width(tw) is 50 ns typ and 350 ns max. Maximum oscillator frequency(tmax) is 1.2 MHz min and 5 MHz typ.Input capacitance(Cin) is 5.0 pF typ.
