The MC3403N is designed as a low-cost, quad operational amplifier with true differential inputs. It has electrical characteristics similar to the popular UA741. However the MC3403, has several distinct advantages over standard operational amplifier types in single supply applications.
It has seven features. (1)Short-circuit protected outputs. (2)Class AB output stage for minimal crossover distortion. (3)Single supply operation +3V to +36V. (4)Dual supplies +/-1.5V to +/-18V. (5)Low input bias current 500nA max. (6)Its internally compensated. (7)Similar performance to popular UA741. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be +/-18V or 36V. (2)Its differential input voltage would be +/-36V. (3)Its input voltage would be +/-18V. (4)Its output short-circuit duration would be infinite. (5)Its power dissipation would be 500mW. (6)Its operating free-air temperature range would be from 0°C to +70°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics at Vcc=+/-15V are concluded as follow. (1)Its input offset voltage would be typ 1mV and max 5mV. (2)Its input offset current would be typ 2nA and max 50nA. (3)Its input bias current would be typ 40nA and max 500nA. (4)Its large signal voltage gain would be min 50V/mV and typ 200V/mV. (5)Its supply voltage rejection ratio would be min 77dB and typ 90dB. (6)Its supply current all amp with no load would be typ 2.8mA and max 7mA. (7)Its input common mode voltage range would be min -15V and max +13V.
