PBL3781

The PBL3781 is designed as one kind of bipolar integrated speech circuits for use in electronic telephones. The circuit is designed to operate at low supply voltages, down to 1.3V, making it usable when connected in parallel with other telephones.

It has eight features. (1)Low voltage operation, down to 1.3V DC. (2)AC voltage swing down to 0.4V. (3)Transmit and receive gain regulation for automatic loop loss compensation. (4)Differential microphone input for dynamic microphone. (5)Current generator output powers electret buffer amplifier or pulse dialler. (6)Balanche receiver output stage. (7)16-pin "batwing" DIP handles 1.5W power dissipation. (8)20-pin small outline package handles 1.3W power dissipation. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its line current would be max 150mA for dual-in-line package and would be max 130mA for small outline package. (2)Its line voltage would be max 15V for continuous and would be max 18V for tp=2s and would be max 20V for tp=10ms. (3)Its power dissipation would be max 1.5W for dual-in-line package and would be max 1.3W for small outline package. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from -20°C to 70°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics are concluded as follow. (1)Its line voltage at R4=47ohms would be typ 1.3V at Il=2.5mA and would be typ 3.3V at Il=10mA and would be typ 8.5V at Il=100mA. (2)Its maximum transmitting gain would be typ 57dB at RL=0 and would be typ 62dB at RL=900ohms. (3)Its transmitting gain, range of regulation would be min 3dB and typ 5dB and max 7dB. And so on.
