PEB2050

The peripheral board controller PEB2050 is a device for the control of voice, data, and signaling paths of up to 16 subscribers on peripheral component boars in digital telephone systems. In combination with the highly flexible signal processing condec filter, it forms an optimized analog subscriber-line board architecture. Its flexibility allows operation as general-purpose controller for data switching and MUX/De MUX applications. The PCB controls space and time switching functions between subscriber-line devices and time-division multiplex highways. Futher,it controls the flow pf information between the subscriber interface ports and a processor which can be an optional line card local processor or the central processor directly. Last, it performs all protocol control functions, using the HDLC protocol format for all information passing between the line card and the central processor via a dedicated HDLC line or via interleaved time slots on the PCM lines.

It has many unique features: The first one is board controller for up to 16 subscribers of a digital switching system. The second one is it is designed for different PCM systems. The third one is it provides two full duplex PCM highways for the system interface.The forth one is two DMA channels for expansion of internal buffer capability of 16 bytes per direction. The fifth one is single +5 V power supply. The sixth one is low power consumption. The seventh one is standard uP interface, etc. There are some maximum ratings about it. Storage temperature(Tstg) is -65min and 125 max. Operating temperature(Ta) is 0min and 70 max. Voltage at any pin referred to ground(Vs) is -0.5 V min and 7 V max. Total power consumption(Ptot) is 625 mW max.
