R-220

The R-220 series is designed as reflective optical switches which consists of a gallium arsenide IRED and silicon phototransistor mounted in an injection-molded plastic housing.

The R-220 has three features. The first one is PC board mount or wire leads. The second one is IR-transmissive housing. The third one is two sensitivity ranges. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of R-220 have been concluded into several points as follow. The first one is about its storage and operating temperature range which would be from -40°C to +85°C. The second one is about its lead soldering temperature which would be 240°C. That are all the main ratings.

And some other important specifications about R-220. The first one is about its continuous forward current which would be 50mA. The second one is about its peak forward current (1us pulse width, 300pps) which would be 3A. The third one is about its reverse voltage which would be 3V. The fourth one is about its IRED power dissipation which would be 100mW. The fifth one is about its collector to emitter voltage which would be 30V. The sixth one is about its emitter to collector voltage which would be 5V. The seventh one is about its sensor power dissipation which would be 100mW.

Some electrical characteristics about R-220. The first one is about its forward voltage which would be max 1.60V. The second one is about its reverse current which would be max 10uA. The third one is about its collector to emitter breakdown voltage which would be min 30V. The fourth one is about its emitter to collector breakdown voltage which would be min 5.0V.
