R5326x series

This is the description about R5326x series of the automatic mode shift 2ch 150ma LDO.

The R5326x Series are CMOS-based voltage regulator ICs with high output voltage accuracy, Typ. 5.5A low supply current, and remarkably improved transient response compared with the conventional low supply current voltage regulators. The supply current of IC itself is automatically shifts between fast mode and low power mode depending on the load current. (The current threshold is fixed internally.) Each of these voltage regulator ICs consists of a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, resistors for setting the output voltage, a current limit circuit for preventing from the destruction by an over current, and so on. The chip enable function realizes the standby mode with ultra low supply current. Since the packages for these ICs are SOT-23-6 and PLP1820-6, and chip size package, WLCSP-6-P1, 2ch LDO regulators are included in each package, high density mounting of the ICs on boards is possible.

Here are the features of R5326x series. (1) Supply Current (Low Power Mode) is Typ. 5.5A*2 (VR1&VR2) (IOUT=0mA); (2) Supply Current (Fast Mode) is Typ. 50A*2 (VR1&VR2) (IOUT=10mA); (3) Standby Current is Typ. 0.1A (VR1&VR2); (4) Input Voltage is 1.4V to 6.0V; (5) Output Voltage is 0.8V to 4.2V; (6) Dropout Voltage is Typ. 0.19V (IOUT=150mA, VOUT=2.8V); (7) Output Voltage Accuracy is 1.0% (VOUT => 1.5V); (8) Line Regulation is Typ. 0.02%/V; (9) Built-in fold-back protection circuit is Typ. 50mA (Current at short mode).

These are the absolute maximum ratings of R5326x series. Input voltage is 6.5 V. Input voltage (CE Pin) is from −0.3 to 6.5 V. Output voltage is from −0.3 to VIN+0.3 V. Output current is 200 mA. Power dissipation (SOT-23-6) is 420 mW. Power dissipation (PLP1820-6) is 880 mW. Power dissipation (WLCSP-6-P1) is 633mW. Operating temperature range is from −40 to 85 °C. Storage temperature range is from −55 to 125 °C.
