The RC144ACF is a kind of integrated data/fax/voice modem device which supports high speed data and high speed fax modem operation in the US or world-wide over a dial-up telephone line and for US versions, a celluar phone. The device is suitable for desktop applications and provides maximum integration and functionality with minimum supporting component design and available in a single 68-pin PLCC package. The RC144ACF requires no external RAM or ROM. It supports either a parallel 16550A UART-compatible interface host or a serial EIA/TIA-232-E logic-compatible DTE interface.
