RC144ACF

The RC144ACF is a kind of integrated data/fax/voice modem device which supports high speed data and high speed fax modem operation in the US or world-wide over a dial-up telephone line and for US versions, a celluar phone. The device is suitable for desktop applications and provides maximum integration and functionality with minimum supporting component design and available in a single 68-pin PLCC package. The RC144ACF requires no external RAM or ROM. It supports either a parallel 16550A UART-compatible interface host or a serial EIA/TIA-232-E logic-compatible DTE interface.

There are some features of RC144ACF as follows: (1)data modem throughput up to 57.6 kbps: V.32 bis, V.32, V.22 bis, V.22A/B, V.23, and V.21; Bell 212A and 103; (2)RC144ACF performs ECC in the modem: V.42 LAPM and MNP 2-4 error correction, V.42 bis and MNP 5 data compression, MNP 10 data throughput enhancement; (3)enhanced Rockwell Protocal Interface (RPI+) supported by WinRPI host software modulebackward compatible with software that supports RPI; (4)automatic format/speed sensing to 57.6 kbps; (5)flow control and speed buffering; (6)asynchronous data; (7)auto dial and auto answer, tone and pulse dialing.
