RT9173BCL5

The RT9173BCL5 is a kind of 2 A bus termination regulator. It is intended to convert voltage supplies ranging from 1.7V to 6V into a desired output voltage of which adjusted by two external voltage divider resistors. It is available in 5-lead TO-252 package. The typical applications include DDR memory termination supply, active termination buses, desktop PC/AGP graphics, set top box/IPC and supply splitter.

There are some features as follows. (1) support both DDR I (1.25VTT) and DDR II (0.9VTT) requirements; (2) capable of sourcing and sinking current; (3) current-limiting protection; (4) thermal protection; (5) integrated power MOSFETs; (6) generates termination voltages for SSTL-2; (7) high accuracy output voltage at full-load; (8) adjustable VOUT by external resistors; (9) minimum external components; (10) shutdown for standby or suspend mode operation with high-impedance output; (11) RoHS compliant and 100% lead (Pb)-free.

(1): input voltage is 7 V; (2): power dissipation, PD @ TA=25 is 0.625 W; (3): JA (package thermal resistance) is 68 /W; (4): JC (package thermal resistance) is 8/W; (5): lead temperature (soldering, 10 sec.) is 260; (6): ESD rating is 2 kV for human body model (HBM) and 200 V for machine mode (MM); (7): junction temperature range is from -40 to 125.
