S2516MH has three features. (1)Its It(rms) would be 25A. (2)Its Vdrm would be 600V. (3)It has high surge current capability. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of S2516MH have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its RMS on-state current would be 25A with 180° conduction angle. (2)Its average on-state current would be 16A with 180° conduction angle. (3)Its non-repetitive surge peak on-state current would be 270A at tp=8.3ms and would be 250A at tp=10ms. (4)Its I2t value for fusing would be 310A2s at tp=10ms. (5)Its critical rate of rise on-state current would be 100A/us at Ig=100mA. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -40°C to 150°C. (7)Its operating junction temperature range would be from -40°C to 125°C. (8)Its maximum lead temperature for soldering during 10s at 4.5mm from case would be 260°C. (9)Its repetitive peak off-state voltage would be 600V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
