SAA7341

The SAA7341 is designed as CMOS digital decoding IC for compact disc which incorporates the functions of decoding, digital filtering and differential digital to analog conversion all on one CMOS IC. The SAA7341 is specifically aimed at the mid-low end CD market, suitable for portable and car type applications.

SAA7341 has many features. The first one is analog front end (data slicer, phase detector, VCO). The second one is demodulator and EFM decoding. The third one is subcoding microprocessor handshaking protocol. The fourth one is integrated programmable motor speed control. The fifth one is single/four wire motor operation option. The sixth one is bidirectional data bus external SRAM (8K x 8 bits). The seventh one is error correction and concealment functions. The eighth one is IEC/EBU digital output. The ninth one is 192 x oversampling via 2-stage digital filter. The tenth one is 2nd order noise shaping. And so on. That are all the main features.

The sixth one is about its output current which would be +/-10mA. The seventh one is about its storage temperature range which would be from -55°C to +150°C. The eighth one is about its operating ambient temperature range which would be from -40°C to +85°C. The ninth one is about its electrostatic handling which would be min -1000V and max +1000V.
