SBT6040

The SBT6040 is designed as one kind of schottky rectifiers with working peak reverse voltage of 40V and repetitive peak reverse voltage of 40V.

SBT6040 has six features. (1)Schottky barrier rectifier. (2)Guard ring protection. (3)175°C operation. (4)Vrrm is from 40V to 50V. (5)60 amperes. (6)Reverse energy tested. Those are all the main features.

Some electrical characteristics of SBT6040 per leg have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its average forward current per leg would be 30A with conditions of Tc=147°C, square wave and RJC=1.2°C/W. (2)Its maximum surge current would be 600A with conditions of 8.3ms, half sine wave and at Tj=175°C. (3)Its max repetitive peak reverse current would be 2A with conditions of f=1KHz and temperature of 25°C and 1us square wave. (4)Its max peak forward voltage would be 0.55V with test conditions of Ifm=30A and Tj=175°C and it would be 0.68V with test conditions of Ifm=30A and Tj=25°C. (5)Its max peak reverse current would be 15mA with test conditions of Vrrm, Tj=125°C and would be 1.2mA with test conditions of Vrrm, Tj=25°C. (6)Its typical junction capacitance per leg would be 1800pF with test conditions of Vr=5.0v and Tj=25°C. It should be noted that about the max peak forward voltage the pulse test is pulse width 300usec, duty cycle 2%.

Also some thermal and mechanical characteristics of SBT6040 are concluded as follow. (1)Its operating junction temperature range would be from -65°C to 175°C. (2)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 175°C. (3)Its maximum thermal resistance standard polarity would be 1.2°C/W junction to case. (4)Its maximum thermal resistance (reverse polarity) would be 2.0°C/W junction to case. (5)Its typical thermal resistance greased would be 0.5°C/W case to sink.
