The SC1406G is designed as a high speed, high performance hysteretic mode PWM controller. Teamed with the SC1405 smart driver, it powers advanced pentium II and pentium III processors. It features intel mobile voltage positioning (IMVP), which increases battery life by reducing the voltage at the processor when it is heavily loaded. It also directly supports intel's speedstep processors for even longer battery life.
SC1406G has five features. (1)High speed hysteretic controller provides high efficiency over a wide operating load range. (2)Inherently stable. (3)Compatible CPU power solution with two LDO drivers. (4)Programmable core voltage for pentium II & III processors. (5)Bative speed step support. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of SC1406G have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its Vcc supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (2)Its low battery input would be from -0.3V to 7V. (3)Its enable would be from -0.3V to 7V. (4)Its all other I/O pins would be from GND-0.3V to Vcc+0.3V. (5)Its operating junction temperature range would be from 0°C to 125°C. (6)Its lead temperature soldering 10 seconds would be 300°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C.
