The SKY74711 receiver is a highly integrated device for dualbandCode Division Multiple Access (CDMA2000) femtocell basestation applications. The SKY74711 supports femtocells in thecellular CDMA and Personal Communications System (PCS)bands.
The SKY74711 requires a minimum number of external componentsto complete a CDMA2000 radio subsystem. Included within thepackage are the downconverters, baseband filters with an autotuningloop, UHF Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO), RF PhaseLocked Loop (PLL), and DC Offset Correction (DCOC). TheSKY74711 is designed to operate within a supply voltage range of2.7 V to 3.0 V.
External components of SKY74711 needed for operation include matchingnetworks for differential mixer inputs, cellular CDMA and PCSSurface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters, three bias resistors foraccurate bias control over process variation, and two hightolerance load resistors for In-Phase and Quadrature (I/Q)baseband output.
The SKY74711 output is a dual-channel, fully differential analogsignal at the baseband. Both channels maintain a quadraturephase relationship with each other.Together with the SKY65043 dual-band Low Noise Amplifier(LNA), the SKY74711 completes the receiver from the RF input tothe I/Q baseband outputs.
The 40-pin Land Grid Array (LGA) device package and pinout areshown in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows a functional block diagram forthe SKY74711.
