LIPA? Module for CDMA/PCS

The SKY77418 LIPA? Module for CDMA applications packs full coverage of the 1850-1910 MHz bandwidth into a single compact package. Skywork's patented LIPA technology assures meeting stringent linearity requirements, even at a 4:1 load mismatch. SKY77418 delivers unsurpassed talk-time because of high efficiencies throughout the entire power range.A single GaAs MMIC contains all active circuitry in the module. Output match realized off-chip within the module package optimizes efficiency and power performance. Skyworks' InGaP GaAs HBT process provides for all positive voltage DC supply operation while maintaining high efficiency and good linearity. Primary bias is supplied directly by a suitable 3.2 to 4.2 volt battery. Power down is accomplished by setting the voltage on the low current reference pad to zero volts. No external supply side switch of SKY77418 is needed as typical "off" leakage is a few microamperes with full primary voltage supplied from the battery. See Product Summary for further details.
