The SN54LS423 is designed as one kind of retriggerable monostable multivibrators. This DC triggered multivibrator features output pulse width control by three mothods. The basic pulse time of SN54LS423 is programmed by selection of external resistance and capacitance values.
SN54LS423 has four features. (1)Will not trigger from clear. (2)DC triggered from active high or active low gated logic inputs. (3)Retriggerable for very long output pulses, up to 100% duty cycle. (4)Overriding clear terminates output pulse. Those are all the main features.
Some recommended operating conditions of SN54LS423 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be min 4.5V and typ 5V and max 5.5V.
