TC9203P

The TC9203P is designed as C2MOS LSI designed for controlling the motor of especially for disk spindle drive (FDD). *-bit D/A converter system has been employed for each of the speed control system (AFC) and the phase control system (APC) and realize a wide reduction of external parts and free adjustment motor control system.

TC9203P  has five features. (1)Crystal can be used up to 8MHz and crystal reference dividing frequency selected from three position of 1/5, 1/6 and 1/12 correspond to 8,5 and 3.5 inch FDD. (2)Lock range can be selected from two position of 1/20 and 1/27. (3)External oscillator makes possible fine adjustment of speed. (4)Lock detection output and reverse rotation signal output are provided. (5)Surface mount is available with TC9203F. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TC9203P have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 7.0V. (2)Its input voltage would be from -0.3V to Vdd+0.3V. (3)Its power dissipation would be 300mW. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from -30°C to 75°C. (5)ts storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of TC9203P are concluded as follow. (1)Its operating supply voltage would be min 4.5V and typ 5.0V and max 5.5V. (2)Its operating supply current would be typ 5.0mA and max 12.0mA. (3)Its operating frequency range Xt would be min 1.0MHz and max 8.0MHz and CPin would be min 0.05MHz and max 4.0MHz and FGin would be max 10kHz. (4)Its input operating voltage would be min 0.5Vp-p and max Vdd-0.5Vp-p. (5)Its pullup resistor would be min 10kohms and typ 30kohms and max 50kohms. And so on.
