TCD1708D

The TCD1708D is designed as a high sensitive and low dark current 7450 elements CCD image sensor. This TCD1708D sensor is designer for facsimile, imagescanner and OCR. The device contains a row of 7450 elements photodiodes which provide a 24 lines/mm (600DIP) across a A3 size paper. The device is operated by 5V (pulse), and 5V power supply.

TCD1708D has five features. (1)Number of image sensing elements 7450 elements. (2)Image sensing element size which would be 4.7um by 4.7um on 4.7um centers. (3)Photo sensing region: high sensitive and low voltage dark signal pn photodiode. (4)Clock 2 ohase (5V). (5)Package 22 pin cerdip. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TCD1708D have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its clock pulse voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (2)Its shift pulse voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (3)Its reset pulse voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (4)Its clamp pulse voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (5)Its power supply voltage would be from -0.3V to 7V. (6)Its operating temperature range would be from 0°C to 60°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -25°C to 85°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of TCD1708D are concluded as follow. (1)Its sensitivity would be min 12V and typ 15V and max 18V. (2)Its photo response non uniformity would be typ 4% and max 10%. (3)Its saturation output voltage would be min 1.0V and typ 1.3V. (4)Its saturation exposure would be min 0.05lxs and typ 0.08lxs. (5)Its dark signal voltage would be typ 0.5mV and max 3mV. (6)Its dark signal non uniformity would be typ 0.5mV and max 10mV. (7)Its DC power dissipation would be typ 80mV and max 160mW. And so on.
